Announcing The 2016-18 Gallery Without Walls Sculpture Exhibit in Lake Oswego, Oregon
Proposal Deadline: November 2, 2015
The Arts Council of Lake Oswego invites sculptors to submit qualifications and proposals for Lake Oswego’s award winning outdoor Gallery Without Walls sculpture exhibit. The works selected for this public art exhibit will be on loan to the city of Lake Oswego for a period of two years and must be available for sale during that time.
Introduced in 2001, Gallery Without Walls has evolved into an exhibit of over 60 sculptures by artists of regional and international acclaim. It includes sculptures from the City’s permanent art collection and loaned works that rotate on a two-year basis.
Artists receive an installation stipend of $850 and agree to a 20% commission to the Arts Council of Lake Oswego if the sculpture sells during the two-year loan period. The Arts Council provides a downloadable phone app (L.O. Art Tour from the App Store or www.artscouncillo.org/tour on your smartphone) and free docent-led tours.
